Ask a question:

Why is my account locked?

Solution The desktop platform includes a security feature whereby an account is automatically locked after three successive failed logon attempts. This would happen, for example, if the wrong password was entered three times.

This feature is to deter hackers from repeatedly attempting to crack users' account details. The account is automatically unlocked 30 minutes after the last failed logon attempt.

This is a systematic feature that helps to maintain the integrity of the desktop platform for all users and, as such, cannot be changed.

If you find that this happens to you, please ensure you know your account details, check your keyboard settings (e.g. CAPS Lock and Num Lock) and try again after 30 minutes.
